Texaco’s first refinery was in Port Arthur, Texas. It continually expanded its crude product capacities during the first half of the 20th Century. As the refinery grew firefighting equipment was required to combat the potential hazards of refinery production. The 1929 Mack Pumper, with its 750 gallon capacity and rugged 6-cylinder engine, was just the answer.
